Monaco race week, Cannes premieres, Art Basel vernissage, Royal Ascot, Davos forum week, Sundance openings — when the calendar compresses, commercial routing breaks first. Private aviation keeps your schedule and discretion intact.

St Barths Bucket Regatta
Gustaf III (TFFJ) accepts only certified turboprops and light types on its 2,100-foot runway — you stage a heavy jet at Princess Juliana (TNCM) or San Juan (TJSJ), then connect by PC-12, helicopter, or yacht transfer into St Jean. Bucket Regatta week fills Gustavia harbour and every feeder slot; commercial routing through SXM adds hours you cannot recover before the start gun. Lock the international leg and the TFFJ hop together before the fleet converges.

Monaco Grand Prix
The Principality has no runway — you land at Nice Côte d'Azur (LFMN) and helicopter the seven-minute leg to Monaco Heliport (LNMC). Grand Prix weekend is the tightest slot window on the European calendar; PPR at Nice fills early and road access into Monte Carlo becomes unusable. Book the jet and helicopter as one move, well ahead of race week.

Cannes Film Festival
Mid-size jets clear Cannes-Mandelieu (LFMD) within minutes of the Palais; heavier metal uses Nice (LFMN) ten minutes east, with continuous helicopter shuttles along the coast. Opening night and closing weekend compress FBO slots and turn the Croisette into a commercial-traffic trap — private aviation keeps studio schedules, premiere timing, and guest discretion intact. Coordinate arrival day and heli windows when you lock the aircraft.

Art Basel — Basel
Basel-Mulhouse EuroAirport (LFSB) sits fifteen minutes from Messe Basel — the only sensible front door for fair week. During the vernissage, overnight ramp parking is often restricted to drop-and-go; late bookings get pushed to Zurich (LSZH) or Geneva (LSGG) with a long road transfer and lost preview hours. Collectors and galleries who share return legs still need the parking request treated as seriously as the hotel suite.

Royal Ascot
Royal Ascot is the highest-status flat racing meeting on the British calendar. Most owners and sponsor guests fly into London (Battersea / Stansted / Farnborough) and helicopter the twenty-minute leg to the racecourse. Same-day return is straightforward — but helicopter slots and FBO parking at London city heliports compress on Gold Cup day.

World Economic Forum — Davos
Davos-Platz (LSZR) is heavily constrained during WEF week — most delegations fly into Zurich (LSZH) or Samedan (LSZS) and helicopter to the Stilli helipad in Davos, bypassing two hours of alpine road closure and winter gridlock. Slot demand across Zurich GA and helicopter fleets is severe; aircraft, rotor wing, and ground transfer should be confirmed in a single booking, months ahead of the January window.

Sundance Film Festival
Heber Valley (KHCR) is the closest field to Park City — twelve-minute drive vs forty from Salt Lake City. Mid-size jets and lighter clear KHCR routinely; heavier jets divert to KSLC. Helicopter transfers run from KSLC throughout the festival. Opening weekend compresses every mountain approach slot.

AfrikaBurn 2026
Helicopter and aircraft transfers from Cape Town's private terminal direct to the AfrikaBurn airstrip — under an hour vs five-to-seven hours of gravel.

Durban July
Africa's biggest race day. Charter direct from Joburg or Cape Town to Virginia or King Shaka, beat the N3 and the parking, and fly home the same night.

Nedbank Golf Challenge
Africa's Major. Helicopter direct from Lanseria to Sun City for sponsor hospitality, owner suites, and pro-am events.
Major calendar events

Cape Town Met
Sun International's Cape Town Met is South Africa's premier flat-racing fashion event. Helicopter from Cape Town's private terminal direct to Kenilworth — bypass the parking circus.

Springbok Test Match
